The Kids Cafe program currently provides food to 30 sites in the Valley, serving more than 1,800 meals daily to children 5 to 18
years of age. In 2010, the program is on track to more than quadruple in size to meet Arizona's overwhelming need. By this
summer, more than 12,000 hot and cold meals and snacks will be provided through Kids Cafe thanks to expansion of the existing
Westside location and its new facility adjacent to St. Mary’s main warehouse.
In the last eight years, proceeds from the Albertson's Kids Cafe Open have provided nearly half a million meals to children at risk
of hunger, in addition to providing an enjoyable day of golf at the beautiful Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa in Litchfield Park. All
golfers will be treated to lunch, goodie bags, tournament shirts and titleist gift. But the big winners are the children of Arizona,
many of which would not know where their next meal would come from without programs from St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance
and events like the Albertson’s Kids Cafe Open.
