Why do Food donors donate? Food donors donate for a variety of reasons besides helping to feed hungry families and individuals in the community. Donating to the Food Bank minimizes the cost of waste, and donors receive tax write-offs for their donations. At the same time, excess product is moved efficiently at no additional cost. Also, donating demonstrates good corporate citizenship and builds community goodwill and employee pride.
