Locations/Programs: COMMUNITY KITCHEN
Community Kitchen, a 15-week program, trains low-income adults for employment in the food service industry. In addition to culinary instruction on food safety, cooking principles and methods, students receive life skills coaching in interpersonal development, decision making, money management, ethics and teamwork.
Through training and coaching, Community Kitchen offers hope. Before entering the program, students often struggle with finding stable housing, child care and steady employment. Following graduation, participants are equipped to make decisions for their future—a future filled with hope.
